Keep Out

The eerily quiet streets at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic invited much of our wildlife to explore further into our towns and cities.  However, it is not just the quieter streets, but our intrusion on to nature’s habitats that forces wildlife to venture into our towns and cities. Highlighting the unseen boundaries, territories and dangers wildlife face, ‘Keep Out’ is a zine of lino print illustrations that explores the way we, as human beings, mark our territories through our intrusion on to wildlife’s habitats.  It questions whether it is possible to share the spaces around us and live harmoniously with wildlife, or whether our encroachment on to nature’s space is forcing wildlife to try and reclaim some of what has been taken.
